with "Thats What Hearts are For" - The theme song for 'Code 3 For a Cure'
A group of firefighters will depart from Los Angeles on June 13, 2008 in a fire engine on an 8,800 mile round-trip journey across America in an effort to find a cure for all cancers. The CODE 3 firefighters will be stopping at various fire departments along their journey to collect the names of fallen firefighters who have lost their lives due to cancer. Their goal in doing this is to honor and remember the sacrifices of their fallen comrades who paved the way for the better procedures and safety equipment used by the firefighters of today. A fire bell mounted on the fire engine will ring out once for each name called.
The firefighters hope to raise funds for the non-profit organizations that are fighting the war on cancer. They seek to bring awareness of how prevalent cancer is, among firefighters in particular, and to find a cure for all cancers. Posted on the fire engine will be signs from each non-profit organization that relentlessly wages the war on cancer. The firefighters are asking anyone who sees them on the road to make a donation directly to the non-profit of their choice; or you can also donate directly to your selected non-profit through the Code 3 website.
On their journey, they will give each fire station a CD of our inspriational song "Thats What Hearts Are For" which has become Code 3 For a Cure's theme song.
We urge you to give your support to the quest to find a cure for cancer. Make a donation of $3 or more to Code 3 for a Cure and recieve a free download of "Thats What Hearts Are For". All proceeds will go directly to Code 3 For A Cure.
