Where do we begin? First 3 steps to take now

First 3 Steps to Planning the wedding music soundtrack of your dreams…

If you’ve figured out by now that music is the key to a great wedding, you’re right: it’s the secret ingredient of every great wedding.

And if you’re asking yourself why, think of it this way: Top coordinators know that music is the ‘good-time factor’ of a wedding.… Nothing has more power than music to make people from all walks of life, all ages and cultural backgrounds feel united as one …all sharing in the emotion of your wedding day. What makes people feel good and have a great time is to feel connected and part of it all.

When you think about it…your flowers, gown and the setting will all make your wedding look beautiful….but it’s the music that’ll make your wedding feel beautiful.

If you have a great music plan for your wedding, your whole wedding is practically guaranteed to be great…at least the most important part of it is…the part where everybody has a great time.

And let’s face it: That’s the bottom line.

Wedding Reception Dance Song MusicA great music plan is more than just choosing your favorite wedding songs. True…that’s important. But how you use the music to make everybody feel good is even more important…it’s what makes the difference between a great wedding and a so-so one. Great weddings take great planning…and we’re here to help you accomplish that.

Step One

Make a wish list. Believe it or not, visualizing your dream wedding is one of the most important parts of your planning. Behind every creation is an idea… Everything starts there…whether it’s a home, a honeymoon or your wedding. So start dreaming and wishing…because…

The clearer your vision, the easier it’ll be to make it a reality.

Planning a wedding is a creative process. At the beginning, give yourself plenty of time to explore lots of different options and all your likes and dislikes. Let your ideas flow.

Step Two

Think of your wedding as a film. This is a really important tip. Like a great film, a great wedding has an interesting opening that’s followed by dramatic moments building up to an exciting climax and satisfying ending. But no matter how beautifully directed and produced a film is, it only comes alive after the composer adds the music. The soundtrack is almost always the greatest single influence on the feel and impact of a film. (Even silent films had background music playing in the theatre).

You’re the director of your film. The music you choose will be the soundtrack of your wedding. Take an imaginary trip through your wedding, scene by scene and imagine how you’ll feel during each scene: your family walking down the aisle, your entrance as a bride, your father/daughter dance, etc. Now imagine music that expresses all these feelings. Actually play different possible choices of wedding music as you go through each special moment of your wedding. All these ‘exercises’ will help you clarify your vision ..a vision of your dream wedding.
