Welcome to the Wedding Music Central Blog! We’re Multiple Emmy-winner GLORIA SKLEROV and co-writer and partner BARBARA ROTHSTEIN, creators of Wedding Music Central.
As professional songwriters who set romance to music for movies and TV shows, we’ve had to master the art of ‘marrying’ the right music to each ’scene’ …including lots of wedding scenes…to enhance and capture the emotion of each special moment. With our wedding music expertise, our mission is to create that same magic and emotion for your wedding.
If you’re looking for that special song – or as we like to say – “The perfect song for the perfect moment,” listen to our “original and unique” new wedding songs and contemporary arrangements of classical wedding ceremony music. Interested in finding the perfect song for your wedding?

Will Your Mother Son Dance Be ‘Unforgettable?’
We hope so…but if you’ll pardon the pun, it’s a little puzzling to us why so many wedding song lists recommend “Unforgettable” as a Mother Son Dance song. It’s hard to figure why a mother would want to dance to a romantic love song with her son. I’d be a little nervous if I were her daughter-in-law to be!
Romantic love songs are just not appropriate for a mother and son dance…period. These dances are for expressions of thanks, love, appreciation, or even some of the mixed emotions of a new beginning and letting go of a phase of life….all of the above. But you don’t want a song to be too ‘sappy’ when it’s for a guy and his mom!
We’ve written music for lots of film and TV scenes, and so we had to learn how to ‘marry’ the music to each scene. To avoid writing a song that’s too sentimental, sometimes it’s important NOT to say too much and NOT to preach, but to just let listeners have their own feelings as they watch the ‘scene’…
Before you choose your special wedding song for your Mother son Dance, or for any dance, read through the whole lyric carefully to make sure the song is really appropriate for that particular wedding dance. Listen to lots of songs and visualize your ‘scene’. You’ll come up with a winner.

Any comments? Do you agree or disagree with “Unforgettable” as a mother son song?
